Faridabad Navchetna Trust distributed Water Pots and Saplings on the occasion of World Environment Day

Department of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Haryana, and Haryana State Pollution Control Board organized a function on the occasion of World Environment Day 2019 today. Sh. Vipul Goel, Hon’ble Industries & Commerce, Skill Development & Industrial Training and Environment & Climate Change Minster, Haryana was the Chief Guest for the day. The Guests of Honour for the day were Smt. Seema Trikha, MLA, Badkhal; Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, MLA, Ballabgarh; Sh. Tek Chand Sharma, MLA, Prithla; Sh. Nagender Bhadana, MLA, NIT-Faridabad; and Sh. Lalit Nagar, MLA, Tigaon. The occasion was also graced by the benign presence of Smt. Suman Bala, Mayor, Faridabad; Sh. Devender Chaudhary, Senior Deputy Mayor, Faridabad; Sh. Manmohan Garg, Deputy Mayor, Faridabad; Smt. Dheera Khandelwal, IAS & Addl. Chief Secretary to Govt. Haryana Environment & Climate Change Department; Sh. Ashok Khetarpal, Chairman, Haryana State Pollution Control Board; Smt. Anita Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Faridabad; Sh. Vijayendra Kumar, IAS, Director General, Environment & Climate Change Department; Dr. Anil Hooda, IFS Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Forest Department; Sh. Ashok Kumar Garg, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Faridabad; and Sh. Sanjay Kumar, IPS, Police Commissioner, Faridabad.

Faridabad Navchetna Trust (FNT) distributed Water Pots and Saplings to the public under the guidance of Mr. D.C. Chaudhary, Advisor, FNT. In the coming days, as a part of this initiative, a total of 3000 water pots and one lakh saplings will be distributed.

FNT is already working towards saving environment through its ‘Project Panchi’, ‘The Largest Tree Plantation’ and ‘Adopt A Tree’. Other dignitaries who were also present during the function included Shri Navdeep Chawla, Former President, Faridabad Industries Association; Mr. H.K. Batra, Chairman, Perfect Breads; Mr. Narender Gupta; Mr. S.K. Kapoor; Shri Rajiv Chawla; Mr. B.R. Bhatia; and Dr. NC Wadhwa, DG- Manav Rachna Educational Institutions.

Sh. Vipul Goel encouraged everyone to work towards saving environment and take small steps to clean the air we breathe.
