Launch of the Mega Tree Plantation Drive ‘Harit Haryana’ organised by Faridabad Navchetna Trust

Faridabad Navchetna Trust launched the Mega Tree Plantation Drive –‘Harit Haryana’ on July 28, 2017, where essential plants and saplings were distributed to the masses. The aim of this campaign is to make Faridabad cleaner and greener. Under the Harit Haryana Campaign, this was the third edition of the plantation drive conducted by Faridabad Navchetna Trust.

The campaign is organized under the leadership of Chief Patron, Navchetna Trust and State Environment Minister, Shri Vipul Goel.  The launch was held at a plant distribution centre located near Faridabad’s Town Park, Sector 12.

While launching the Mega Plantation  Drive, Dr. Prashant Bhalla, Chairperson, Faridabad Navchetna Trust, said, “ With this drive, Faridabad  Navchetna Trust is immensely contributing in saving the environment. Earlier also, the Trust has been involved in such programmes but this time, FNT has gone a step further to take care of the greenery across the Smart City on the insistence of  State Environment Minister Shri Vipul Goel to make this campaign successful. Faridabad Navchetna Trust is playing an active and an important role in supporting this initiative of Shri Vipul Goel. ”

Talking about the aim and need of such campaigns, BJP’s Youth Leader Shri Aman Goel informed that to make Harit Haryana Campaign more meaningful, people are being asked to pledge to the take good care of the plants and make this campaign a grand success.

The Minister has already visited Gurugram, Palwal and Kalka to ensure the success of the campaign.

However, Faridabad Navchetna Trust will be formally planting more than one lakh distributed trees on July 30,2017. On the same day, Green Rahagiri Programme will also be organised between 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM at the HUDA office, near Town Park.

People can collect free saplings from Raja Nahar Singh Stadium, Faridabad-Tigaon Road and Sector 2 while pledging to take care of the plants on July 29, 2017. In fact, people who take the pledge to make Faridabad Clean and Green will be given two more saplings for the purpose.

The Minister also appealed the residents of Faridabad, Government departments and Private companies to support the Harit Haryana campaign. The campaign was born on the World Environment Day, which falls on June 5 every year.
